The Court of the Patriarchs Overlook at Zion National Park near Springdale, Utah is an easy 0.1-mile out-and-back paved trail that features a view of the Court of the Patriarchs within Zion Canyon.
Walk Description
This is not a hike but rather a very short walk along a steep, but short, paved trail that ends at a viewing platform. From the viewing platform, hikers will get views of the Court of the Patriarchs mountain peaks along the western side of Zion Canyon. On the east side of the viewing platform is an information kiosk that informs hikers about Zion's seasonal and temporary canyon-side waterfalls. These waterfalls leave behind dark streaks along the canyon walls known as waterfall tracks. These waterfalls show up usually after snow-melt or a heavy rainfall and sometimes only lasts for several minutes at a time during drier periods.
Universal Access
Note that this trail is not necessarily universally accessible, despite the paved trail (as of September 2023). There are large cracks in the trail and the trail's elevation grade is very steep, so at the very least it's not wheelchair-friendly.
