The Beck Family Trail at the Mass Audubon Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary in Barnstable, Massachusetts is an easy 0.5-mile one-way hike that features pond and meadow views.

Hike Description
This trailhead can be found at the eastern bend in Bone Hill Road, just east of the southern parking lot for the Long Pasture Trail or at the southern end of the Long Pasture Trail just south of Bone Hill Road. Hikers will head south and then take a left-hand turn to stay on the Beck Family Trail.

Pond View - Mile 0.1
Around mile 0.1, not long after taking the first turn, hikers will find a small pond tucked away in the woods, which has a small view and a bench alongside (as of May, 2023).

Open Meadow Views - Mile 0.35
The trail continues onward from the pond and meanders through the woods a bit before reaching a left-hand turn that leads to open meadow views.

The trail then ends at the Bone Hill Trail.

Fees
As of May 2023, there's a $5/adult fee to walk on the property. Hikers can pay at self-pay kiosks at other trailheads or they can pay inside at the Discovery Center.

Parking
Southern parking lot: Hikers will find a small parking lot at the coordinates provided along Bone Hill Road, located just west of the trailhead. Northern parking lot: Hikers will find a large parking lot at the Discovery Center in the north part of the park - the lot is large enough to accommodate a couple dozen vehicles.

Pets
Dogs are not allowed on trails here.

Water Source
If the Discovery Center is open, hikers can refill their water bottles inside.
