Rather than just go out and back on the blue blaze trail, I did a loop. All the other trails were in fine condition. I cut off that one corner, but would go back and do the two sides of the triangle. The trails are wide and clear for the most part. Just be mindful of the horse droppings!
The trailhead on Federal St. is a little tricky to find. Park at the entrance of the wide gravel driveway next to the guardrail. The trail begins just to the right, up a hill. When the trail splits, go to the left. And when you come out on Cheryl Dr. at the halfway point, walk a few paces to the right to access the other half of the loop. (There's a large gully separating the two halves of the trail.)
